People often ask me "How is E doing?" and I know they mean way more than the standard, "How is she?" They are really wondering, though they may not know the word, how is her attachment coming along? And to that I would have to say, amazing! So, how do I know? Well...she spontaneously hugs and kisses me, she wants me to comfort her if she is hurt or afraid, she seeks me out in a group to show me what she is doing, she doesn't stiffen and pull away from my cuddles and hugs, she enjoys mutual play and fun with me - like peek-a-boo and tickling and hide and seek. What a resilient little girl! And what a gracious God, who brings healing through families!
